Chairlift Rides

Looking for a unique summertime experience? Chairlift rides at Mt. Bachelor are a summer activity the whole family can enjoy!  Your ride begins at our 6,300 foot base at West Village and takes you on a relaxing ride to Pine Marten Lodge perched at 7,775 feet.

Take in the sights of Three Sisters peaks, Broken Top and the Cascade Lakes. Behold views of over one million acres of pristine undeveloped land. At this time of year, the mountain exposes ancient lava flows, wildflowers and year-round snowfields.

Catch a glimpse of a pine marten; enjoy the different species of evergreen trees including Mountain Hemlock, Lodgepole Pine and White Bark Pine; or search out the snowfields left over the from last year's winter.

Summer Operations start Friday July 4th and go through Labor Day (Monday, September 1). Mt. Bachelor is open daily from 11am to 4pm. Open Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm to 8pm.

NOTE: Foot passenger summer sightseeing with or without snowshoes is permitted.  The resort cannot support sleds, skis or snowboards during summer operations.

For the first time, Mt. Bachelor will offer Day and Evening Ticket rates.  Please note, that Evening Tickets and Dinner are sold separately.

Activities

Once you reach the top what you do is up to you!  You can:

What to expect

The Pine Marten Express lift is equipped with a safety bar and seats four people comfortably.  Children of all ages are welcome, but are the responsibility of the adults.  Child seats and carriers are encouraged for children who cannot walk on their own.  The lift is also handicap accessible.

When you come to see us at Mt. Bachelor this summer be sure to wear rugged shoes and layers.  Weather can change rapidly at higher elevations and a windproof jacket is always recommended.  Typically temperatures are 6 to 8 degrees cooler at the base and 10 to 12 degrees cooler at mid-mountain than in Bend or Sunriver.

Bachelor Ski and Sport

What if you forget something? Don't sweat it! Bachelor Ski and Sport is open daily during Summer Operations from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm and has everything you need.  A variety of merchandise is available including: sunscreen, sunglasses, outer wear, signature wear and water bottles.  Ski and Snowboard gear is also available from last season.  Select merchandise is deeply discounted.
